- The "Ethernet Data" window allows the user to view the
-
- contents of an Ethernet packet. Which packet to view
-
- is chosen by any of five manners:
-
-
-
- * Double clicking on the desired packet header in the
-
- "Ethernet Headers" window.
-
-
-
- * Highlighting a packet header in the "Ethernet Headers"
-
- window, then clicking the "Examine" button.
-
-
-
- * Clicking the "Next" button.
-
-
-
- * Clicking the "Previous" button.
-
-
-
- * Using any of the options under the Search menu to
-
- locate a packet.
-
-
-
- Clicking either the Next or Previous buttons will NOT
-
- change the scroll position of the Ethernet data. This
-
- allows for stepping through packets with similiar format
-
- without having to scroll to the data of interest. This
-
- may result in a blank display of data if displaying a
-
- small packet after a large packet. Use the scroll bar
-
- to display data in this case.
